89.2 Tons of Southeast Sulawesi Fishery Products Exported to Thailand
The Fish Quarantine Center for Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPM) Kendari noted that Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) exported 89.2 tons of fishery products during 2020. The majority of fishery products are exported to Thailand.
"There are three types of fishery products exported to Thailand, namely skipjack, squid and virgin clams," said Head of BKIPM Kendari, Amdali Adhitama, in Kendari, Tuesday (2/3/2021).
The details are 54 tons of skipjack tuna with a value of IDR 1.12 billion, 19.24 tons of squid with a value of IDR 1.26 billion and 16 tons of virgin clams with a value of IDR 423 million.
"So the total of all fishery commodities exported to Thailand during 2020 was 89.24 tons with a total value of approximately Rp. 2.8 billion," he said.
He said Southeast Sulawesi also exports live fishery products such as ornamental fish, shrimp, and crab through Kendari Haluoleo Airport.
"Now there are facilities for exporting, through Kendari New Port and through Kendari Haluoleo Airport," said Amdali. (*)
