Batam Fisheries Exported to Japan and Singapore
The Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, released the export of Batam fishery products to Japan and Singapore at PT. Kencana Bumi Sukses Pulau Nipah Jembatan II, Setokok Village, Bulang District, Batam City on Tuesday (9/3/2021).
The exports consisted of 10 tons of frozen commodities worth IDR1.09 billion, 10,139 kg for fresh commodities and 2,057 live commodities with a total export value of IDR2.39 billion.
The frozen commodities include tempura which is shipped to Japan. Then fresh fish such as Grouper, Mackerel, Red Snapper, Yellow Tail, Kaci, Dingkis, Gutters, Selar, Kurisi, Mackerel, Side Fish and Vaname Shrimp are sent to Singapore.
Furthermore, live commodities including lobster, mangrove crab, crab, shellfish, gonggong, betutu and freshwater crayfish are sent to Singapore.
"The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries focuses on exporting Indonesia's superior commodities that have high economic value, namely shrimp, lobster and seaweed," said Minister Trenggono. (*)
